Charlotte Falk
With her art, Charlotte wants to awaken thoughts, feelings and creativity, simply create more color in life. For her, painting is feeling, seeing, exploring and taking care of life. The artistry is about creating space for all of life and our emotions, conscious and unconscious.
Charlotte lives in Uppsala on the Swedish east coast, she is chairman of the Swedish Artists' Association, a member of the Uppsala Artists' Association and the Gottsunda Art Guild. As an artist, she sees herself as self-taught but with many courses in painting, ceramics, silversmithing, lettering, color and design as well as in Vedic art. She regularly uses different media and techniques in her paintings. Colour, form and Vedic art – which is an intuitive painting method based on 17 principles from the ancient Indian teaching, the Vedas – are all important to her artwork and Charlotte paints colorful, abstract acrylics on canvas, sometimes using silver, sand or other natural materials to to create an extra dimension to her work. She has been considered by some art critics to be a colorist and a poet in her paintings, as the fields of color take the viewer's emotions to another dimension. She says herself: "For me, painting is about joy, presence and new experiences. My paintings are the result of my creative needs, combined with influences from different people and cultures and my individual thoughts and feelings. Creation enriches my life and I want to use it to enrich and inspire others." Charlotte Falk regularly exhibits in Sweden and abroad. Previous and upcoming exhibitions Utställningar & kurser |
